Flat Acrylic Mirrors

Mirrage mirrors are being produced by vacuum application of a metallic layer on an acrylic sheet. The result is a nice, optically pure acrylic mirror. Thanks to the excellent properties of acrylics, Mirage mirrors often offer a solution in those situations where the use of glass is not recommended.

Convex Mirrors

A unique range of security and safety mirrors in acrylics. They are being used as safety mirror for traffic safety, tranport companies, warehouses, expedition companies, ... Moreover, Convex can also be applied for prevention of shoplifting, as well as for safety in factory halls and production units.. Mirage mirrors are extremely light weighted and are easy to install.

Polystyrene Mirrors

Polystyrene mirrors are composed in a diffent way than acrylic mirrors. The flat polystyrene sheets are provided on the upperside with a thin reflective layer. Polystyrene mirrors are thinner, and consequently more flexible than acrylic mirrors. Besides interior decoration, these mirrors can also be applied in displays and standconstruction.

Properties

Plastic mirrored sheets provide many benefits compared with traditional glass mirrors. Acrylate mirrored sheets are for example a good 15x more impact resistant than glass and weigh only one third of mirrored glass of equal thickness.

Acrylate mirrors can be sawn to size in situ. Drilling presents no problems either. The mirrors can be easily mounted due to their low weight. In addition to these elementary working benefits, acrylate can be hot bent, polished and faceted edges can be made.

In addition to the ‘ordinary' silver mirrored sheets, Vink also supplies coloured versions including: blue, peach, amber and gold. These special-effect products are excellent for decorative and promotional applications.

The standard sheet dimension is 2440x1220mm, 3mm thick. Silver is also available in 2 and 6mm.
